A little project I was working on lately – and finally I edited all the pictures and got around to uploading them here too.
For 2017 I had the big resolution to get into the frame with the girls more often – I have another fun project I’m gonna share here soon too, but I decided to write a separate blogpost about these images here. I just love how they turned out!
This is how I usually set up parent shots with newborns in the studio – and one day end of last year I thought “Hey, I could do this for pictures with me and the girls too…”
All we needed was a tripod and a remote control and some patience. But once I figured out how to best position myself (and yes, it’s way harder than I first thought), we got quite some pictures I could work with.
I’ll cherish these captures forever – my girls and me. Even though it’s with unwashed hair, without makeup and fancy outfits.
Also, I’m participating in a blog circle with some photographer friends of mine this month. We’re linking to each other’s posts, so you can check out what they’re up to. I’m linking to a fabulous photographer Amy, who’s sharing about her winter scavenger hunt!
Don’t forget to follow along in the blog circle – click here to check out Amy’s blog post with tips about photographing in the snow: Photography Education in Holton, KS.
Ulli,
Please already keep a spot for a mini-photo shooting for us four next time you come to Munich!!!
I LOVE these pictures and I am SURE it is THE best present you could do to your kids EVER…
Marjo
I will have time for sure for another photoshoot with you guys, Marjo! 🙂
And thanks for your sweet comments – I hope they’ll look back one day and have the same sweet memories from these sessions as I do 🙂
I need to do this more often too. You captured some beautiful emotion in these images.
Thank you, Taneill! Appreciate your comment!
These are such precious images! I can’t believe these are self-portraits, they look so relaxed and natural. You’ll really cherish these forever. You’ve inspired me to get in the frame more in 2018!
I love these! I’m honored to be in your loop too! 🙂 I need to go do this at my studio! I don’t know why I don’t… getting in the frame has to happen more for me!
Ulli, you know I adore your shots with your girls. They’ve kind of become your signature look. So creative. And from experience, I know that it’s WAY harder than it looks! I’m trying to get in the frame more… Love all of these.
Thank you so much, Amanda! <3
