My husband and I have lived in Munich before we moved to the States – and we always enjoyed going to Oktoberfest there. We sometimes make it back to go to the real thing, but in the years we can’t, we are throwing an Oktoberfest Party for our friends in Boise. It’s always so much fun and we try to keep it as authentic as possible: German beer (of course!), German style food, and we also play music they are playing there. The best part is that so many of our friends dress up in their Lederhose and Dirndl, this makes us almost feel like being back in Munich. And I love that the girls get to experience our traditions over here as well.
