The girls couldn’t wait for Halloween to come and had their costumes picked out already mid October. They love Halloween and I think it’s more because of the dress-up and face paint part than because of the candy. It’s one of my favorite American holidays too, probably because we didn’t have Halloween when I was growing up in Austria. Anyways, we were getting ready early with pumpkins and other decorations, made good use of our costumes (for different parties at school) and when the big day was finally here we grabbed our pumpkin buckets and went to collect candy at Harrison Boulevard and our neighborhood.
